I’ve been very late with posting this recap of the live workshop session and I apologise.
Various things has made it difficult to work this month. Firstly, I moved from my study in a spare bedroom to a garden office. The slight separation between work/home is welcome, but the upheaval left me feeling a bit unsettled. There are other factors too, but I have both eyes firmly fixed on the new term and a heart filled with the bittersweet feeling of the end of summer.
I decided to run the August online workshop, knowing that it might be hard for people to attend. I also had to change the date from our regular first Thursday of the month because I had to be in London for a job interview (I got it!).
But I’m glad I kept the workshop date, because I need a firm date in my diary where I can’t make excuses. So, I gathered some art works and we explored some art works on the theme of Mirrors, Shadows & Doubles.
We thought about how mirrors, shadows, and doubles invite us to think about identity, reflection, and the shifting versions of ourselves.
For those of you who missed it, all the images and prompts, as well as some notes from our discussion are beneath the paywall.
It’s not too late to join, simply upgrade your subscription to paid for access to all the materials as well as the monthly lives.
